I'm not gonna say the usual answers like Austin vs. Hogan, Undertaker vs. Sting, Bret vs. Angle etc. Instead, I'm gonna go with 20 random dream matches of mine.

1. The Rock (2000) vs. Sting (1997)
Two icons who were complete opposites of each other - The Rock, the loud-mouthed, electrifying superstar who wore $500 bright colored Hawaiian shirts and sunglasses. Sting, the silent, mysterious, dark but ever so popular wrestler. The only two things they had in common is their loyalty to their companies and they were loved by fans around the world. Plus it was because of one of The Rock's promo where he buries Booker T, that Sting never signed with the WWF in 2001.

2. Sting (1990) vs. The Ultimate Warrior (1990)
The two ultimate babyfaces and former Blade Runners who won their first World Titles and became the top guys of the WWF and WCW in 1990.

3. Brock Lesnar (2002) vs. Vader (1992)
Two titans who were absolutely unstoppable in WCW and WWE just 10 years apart from each other.

4. Kurt Angle (2002) vs. Randy Savage (1987)
Kurt has pretty much faced every great wrestler except for Bret Hart and Randy Savage. Angle vs. Bret is one of the most popular dream matches, but no one has ever considered Savage and Angle in the ring together. There styles weren't alike like Bret and Angle's are, but Savage and Angle would make it work and put on gold in the ring.

5. The Rock (1998) vs. Razor Ramon (1994) in a Ladder Match for the IC Title
Both Rock and Razor were the top mid-carders of these two periods, both were great talkers, and put on two of the best IC Title Ladder matches of all time. I think these two would've had a great feud over the IC Title.

6. Taz (1996) vs. Ken Shamrock (1997) in a Lions Den Match
Back when Taz had his reputation as a shooter and Ken Shamrock was known as "The World's Most Dangerous Man". They made the shoot style gimmick famous in pro-wrestling and I would love to have seen Taz take on Shamrock when he was at the top of his game and considered the top MMA fighter in the world at the time.

7. Jerry Lynn (1999) vs. Chris Jericho (2000)
Two mid-carders who were very popular with the fans and would have put on a wrestling clinic had they ever met. I'm surprised they never faced each other, they've been in WWE, WCW, ECW and all around the world, how have they never crossed paths?

8. Diamond Dallas Page (1998) vs. Rob Van Dam (1999)
Yet another two mid-carders who were popular with fans, more so than Lynn and Jericho I would say, and who I'd both consider "The People's Champions". Their styles were different but both guys were working great mid-card matches with the likes of Chris Benoit, Raven, Lance Storm, Jerry Lynn etc. so I reckon DDP and RVD would've made it work and put on an excellent mid-card match back then.

9. Owen Hart (1996) vs. Dean Malenko (1996)
Both guys were great technicians, great submission wrestlers, athletic, and were both underrated by their companies.

10. John Morrison (2010) vs. Adrian Neville (2014)
Both guys are extremely athletic and I could see these two pulling off all sorts of crazy flips, twists & turns, parkour, cartwheels and handstands in this match.

11. Dean Ambrose (2014) vs. Roddy Piper (1985)
Two great talkers and complete lunatics. Put them in a feud together, it would be chaotic.

12. Taz (1998) vs. Rhino (2000) for the FTW Championship
Two of the baddest motherfuckers to come out of ECW. They didn't give a shit about anyone or anything, they ran through everyone who got in their way until they won the top prize in the land of extreme.

13. Mike Awesome (1999) vs. Abyss (2005) in a Hardcore Match
Two great big hardcore guys that would beat the tar out of each other, smash each others brains in with weapons, and put one another through Tables, Barbed Wire Boards etc.

14. The Steiner Brothers (1995) vs. The Eliminators (1995)
I've heard these two teams have actually crossed paths in ECW but it was in 6-Man Tag Team matches, never a regular tag team match. The Steiners and Eliminators are two of my favourite tag teams, for 4 big guys they could do absolutely anything in the ring and wrestle any style.

15. The New Age Outlaws (1998) vs. The Outsiders (1997)
Two tag teams that were similar to each other in a lot of ways. Road Dogg and Scott Hall were the great mic men of the team, Gunn and Nash the powerhouses of the team, and they were part of DX and the nWo.

16. The Mega Powers (1988) vs. The Two Man Power Trip (2001)
The Mega Powers were the ultimate super babyface tag team and The Two Man Power Trip were the ultimate super heel tag team. Miss Elizabeth and Stephanie McMahon in each team's corner also spices things up. Imagine if The Two Man Power Trip had destroyed the beloved Miss Elizabeth with steel chairs back in the day, they probably would've caused a riot, Austin and Triple H were just that damn ruthless and evil together.

17. Bret Hart & Owen Hart (1994) vs. Kurt Angle & Chris Benoit (2002)
Two great technical tag teams that were short lived. Probably could've been the greatest tag team match of all time. The 2 teams weren't exactly getting along in those time periods either, so there would be the question of who costs their team this match.

18. Owen Hart & The British Bulldog (1996) vs. Chris Benoit & Chris Jericho (2001)
Another two great technical tag teams. Both teams had great chemistry with each other and worked like well oiled machines.

19. Eddie Guerrero & Rey Mysterio (2005) vs. Chris Benoit & Dean Malenko (1999)
Four best friends, all with a lot of history and great matches with one another from ECW, WCW, WWE, Japan.

20. Edge & Christian (2001) vs. The Hardy Boyz (2001) vs. Rob Van Dam & Sabu (1998) vs. AJ Styles & Christopher Daniels (2006) in a TLC Match
Four incredible high-flying teams, it's only fitting they compete in a TLC match.
