Bake It ‘Til You Make It is a new series on Food Network that follows the careers of seven bakers at different stages of their lives. Narrated by legendary cake decorator Duff Goldman, it follows seven bakers competing as they pursue their dreams of sweet glory in some of the country’s toughest baking competitions. Sumera Syed from Dallas, Texas is one of the featured bakers on the show. She grew up in a Pakistani Indian family in the UK and is a self-taught baker who previously appeared on MasterChef UK in 2014. The upcoming star of Bake It ‘Til You Make It has described herself as “a bit crazy,” enthusiastic, and bubbly. This self-taught baker learned how to make cakes over the internet and had initially been more interested in cooking than baking. According to The Dallas Morning News, the Bake It ‘Til You Make It hopeful shared that in Pakistan, desserts are typically prepared either on the stove or through deep frying. She added that “In Pakistan, we don’t bake cakes.”

She was 18 years old celebrating Thanksgiving for the first time. She also has a series of posts on her social media called “Sumera the Baker’s 12 Days of Christmas Cookie Making.”
Sumera loved to make sweets with Persian flavors like saffron, pistachio, fennel and others.
The baker discussed her experience on the Food Network, noting that she has met many skilled individuals who are knowledgeable in their field. In contrast, Sumera mentioned that she had just arrived with her cake and faced difficulties traveling with her delicate confections. She recalled feeling embarrassed at the airport while carrying various desserts and placing them in the overhead luggage compartment, hoping they would not be disturbed during transport. “I only hope that no one accidentally bumps into it while placing it in the carrying case,” she added.
Bake It ‘Til You Make It is a non-exclusive show, so every cast member will be present throughout.
