Netflix’s Buy Beverly Hills is a new reality TV show that debuted on the streaming service recently. The series will highlight the best of LA, focusing on Mauricio Umansky’s Agency and the individuals who made it successful. Mauricio Umansky is hardly a new face in the world of reality television. Kyle Richards from RHOBH (Real Housewives of Beverly Hills) is his wife. Mauricio and his two daughters, Farrah and Alexia, who will feature in Buy Beverly Hills with him, have previously been on RHOBH.

Buying Beverly Hills will show viewers a series of employees working with Mauricio and his children. Santiago Arana, Principal and Managing Partner of the Agency, is one of them. He is also the country’s sixth most successful real estate agent, having completed multiple transactions worth billions of dollars.

Santiago Arana from Buy Beverly Hills grew up in Bolivia and worked as a waiter in Los Angeles.

Santiago Arana, originally from Bolivia, was going to his first job after graduating from college when he heard gunfire. Not only does this annoy him, but it also serves as a wake-up call. The Beverly Hills Purchase star was later awarded a scholarship to study finance, but the course was conducted in English that he did not understand. In a DIGS podcast, Santiago discussed his struggles and how he achieved success. Because he could not speak English, the actor Buy Beverly Hills started working as a busker. Four months after starting to learn the language, he was promoted to waiter when he met his future wife. After learning about real estate from his relative, he took the plunge. He got his license and started working. But it wasn’t perfect at first. Santiago confessed that at some point, people stopped buying real estate and he ran out of money.

By 2012, the real estate market started to develop and he had built a reputation in this field; The Wall Street Journal named him one of the top 250 brokers in the United States. Since then, he has been on the annual list.

Along with Billy Rose and Mauricio Umansky, he joined The Agency in 2013 as Principal Partner and Manager. He’s collaborated with superstars like LeBron James and Lady Gaga. He has also surpassed other records and is on track to surpass $500 million in sales. According to the official website of the Agency, Santiago was named the winner of the Spanish Professional Association’s Latino Agent Award for sales. He was also named one of the Los Angeles Business Magazine’s Most Influential People in Real Estate for two years in a row. To date, Santiago has completed nearly $4 billion in real estate transactions. From 2017 to 2021, he made about $2.5 billion in sales.
