The weatherman for ABC, Sam Champion, is back on Good Morning America. He took over for meteorologist Rob Marciano last month.
On August 13, 1961, Champion was born. He is best known for being a weather anchor for Good Morning America and the ABC flagship station WABC-TV for 25 years. Before, he helped host two shows on The Weather Channel: 23.5 Degrees With Sam Champion and AMHQ: America’s Morning Headquarters.
The journalist also gave his weather forecast to the people watching Good Morning America. Ginger Zee took over after he left the network in 2013, but he filled in for her on occasion over the years. After seeing him on GMA again, people are wondering if he will come back as a regular guest.
Sam Champion is missing
Champion left ABC, but he came back later to replace Rob Marciano. On social media, Rob’s fans are worried about his absence. One person wrote, “Rob Marciano on GMA Weekend is something everyone misses.” I want to know what happened.
Someone wrote on Twitter, “If Rob Marciano won’t be on GMA anymore, it’s too bad that you won’t be able to say goodbye to him properly. If he decides he doesn’t want anything, that’s fine.”
He also told America’s Morning Headquarters on March 17, 2014, that she was leaving GMA. In December 2016, Champion and The Weather Channel decided not to keep working together.
What Happened to the Weather Anchor on GMA?
Sam got cancer of the skin four times. In May 2010, after he had been sick before, a spot was taken off his skin while he was on TV. He said that the spot had basal cell carcinoma, which is a common kind of skin cancer that rarely gets worse.
The first thing that happened was that he got a spot on his face a year ago. Then, the doctors found another. He still has scars, but he says that people with much worse skin cancer have had it much worse. The Champion wants people to take better care of their skin, so this morning he invited viewers to his dermatologist’s office. In May, people learn about skin cancer.
He said that the part could have been seen as a publicity stunt to get more people to watch during the May sweeps. He says it’s not and adds that he’s done his job if the article makes more people aware of the risks.
But he can’t figure out what caused his skin cancer, which has changed the way he looks at life. During Cancer Awareness Month, he said he wanted to make people more aware of skin cancer.
Does Sam Champion’s husband, Rubem Robierb, have children?
Even though they’ve been married for ten years, they still don’t have any kids. And neither has said that they want to have kids in the future.
The Champion and his partner, Rubem, were having fun and living happily together. The couple doesn’t have a lot of free time because they both work full-time and have to travel between two states.
Instead, they spend a lot of their free time helping charities like GLAAD, The Human Rights Campaign, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and many more.
Sam Champion’s income and wealth in 2022
Celebrity Net Worth says that the journalist is worth about $10 million. He is a very wealthy American businessman. He also makes about $1.5 million every year. Sam Champion grew up in Paducah, Kentucky. He went to Eastern Kentucky University and got a Bachelor of Arts in broadcast journalism.
He began working at WKYT-TV as an intern while he was still in college. He then had a successful career as a weather anchor. He doesn’t have a degree in meteorology like many other weathercasters. Instead, he learned most of what he knows about predicting the weather while working as a broadcaster.
Sam got more fans when he became the weatherman for New York’s WABC-TV and “Eyewitness News.” In 2006, he became the weatherman for ABC and “Good Morning America.”
