Fall is here! And with it some of our favorite autumn activities: football, foliage and farms. Lincoln has so many activities and events and many are free so you can save your money for Halloween costumes and candy.

October 8: Football Friday-Kick off select home football weekends with Football Fridays, the Nebraska Alumni Association’s family-friendly event series. Connect with other Husker fans and enjoy food, games, giveaways and entertainment, plus lots more!
October 8: El Barrio en Vivo: Celebrating Latino Heritage-Come for live dance performance with Mexican folkloric group Sangre Azteca, Food with Pepes Bistro and Jujus Vegan, crowd sourced poetry and performance with Karla Hernandez Torrijos, and local Latine Makers from The Refinery Ink, a program of ECHO Collective.
October 8: YWCA Lincoln Health Fair-we will have an interactive Health Fair full of fun booths that will be providing resources on health, wellness, nutrition, mental health, safety, community and COVID-19/Flu vaccines.
October 9: Pumpkin and Mason Jars: Make and Take Workshop at Gateway Mall-Spend a fun afternoon with Goodwill creating festive fall crafts! Choose between crafting a DIY Fabric Pumpkin or a Halloween themed mason jar (great for kids!).
October 10: The Big Sit-The Big Sit is a friendly challenge that asks the question-how many birds can we count from one location? Bring a lawn chair or blanket and join Spring Creek Prairie Audubon Center’s Jason “The Bird Nerd” St. Sauver and Nebraska Game and Parks Educator Alie Mayes for a birdy morning as we try to count as many birds as we can from our “sit spot”
Oct 12: Sugar Skull Memory Jar at Walt Library-Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Monty by creating your own Sugar Skull Memory Jar.
October 14 and 15: Outdoor Movie: Hocus Pocus at LNK Airport-Join us for our October Outdoor Movie Night featuring Hocus Pocus at the Lincoln Airport.
October 16: Halloween is Brewing with Fun at Mahoney-We’ll have contests for campsite decorating, pumpkin carving, bonfires and a scavenger hunt.
October 16: Halloween Campsite Decorating and Trick-or-Treating at Fremont Lakes-Come join the fun at Fremont Lakes State Recreation Area with our Halloween campsite decorating contest and trick-or-treating!
October 17: FUNtober-Join the Lutheran Schools of Lincoln for a fun afternoon of trunk or treating, bounce houses, games, music, and more!
October 21: Fallbrook Farmers' Market presents Harvest Festival-Come check out our Fall Harvest Festival and enjoy so many fun activities, coffee, pumpkins, local vendors, and a hay rack ride!
October 24: Fall Festival at Clyde Malone Center-The Malone Center in coordination with the T.R.A.C.E & HCA will provide a FREE FALL FESTIVAL for the community! FREE food from some of Lincoln's best restaurants, FREE Halloween costumes for children, a FREE kids village of games and activities (bounce house, face paint, carnival games) FREE resource fair and workshops.
