Weighing in at nearly 200 pounds, 28-year-old Danielle French decided it was time for a change.
“After getting engaged, I continued to put on lots of weight, until March 2015 when I got to my biggest and could barely fit in any of my clothes,” French admitted. “I really didn’t want to…look at my wedding photos and hate what I saw. I wanted to lose weight a year before I got married so I could go and try wedding dresses on without hating everything I tried on.”
French attests her miraculous weight loss transformation to Slimming World, a weight loss program she joined shortly after the couple booked their wedding for November 2016. She also began following some health-conscious Instagram accounts for inspiration to shed the extra pounds.
“I had been unhappy for so long about my weight and tried so many diets that I could never stick to,” she shared. “I started looking on Instagram at weight loss accounts, and there were so many inspiring girls that had lost weight.”
Soon, French began sharing her own journey to social media as a way to “keep [her] motivated.” And it appears that French couldn’t be happier with the results.
Once only spotted in leggings, French claims that the weight loss gave her newfound “confidence” in her appearance and helped reinvigorate her love of shopping.
“Before losing the weight, I hated going out with my friends because I felt so self-conscious and awful in everything I wore. [Now]…I love getting dressed up and going out. I can walk into a shop, try things on, and like what I see.”
