Ahead of the season 2 premiere, fans are wondering how they can watch Billy the Kid online and what date new episodes are scheduled to be released worldwide? Here is everything to know.
How to watch Billy the Kid season 2 online
Billy the Kid season 2 will be available to stream via the MGM Plus streaming network (formally the Epix streaming service), with episode 1 scheduled to premiere on Sunday, October 15.
New episodes will air on the MGM Plus network at 9 PM ET/PT.
New customers can gain access to the streaming service and the first episode of Billy the Kid season 2 with a seven-day free trial period, after which users will need an active subscription:
- Monthly – $5.99 a month
- Annually – $49.99 a year
Fans can also connect and confirm a subscription to MGM Plus through their TV or digital providers, with logins available via Amazon, Google, and Apple.
The series is also available with an MGM Plus account as an add-on through Amazon Prime Video, The Roku Channel, Spectrum On Demand, and Fubo TV – however, access is limited to North American territories.
The synopsis for Billy the Kid season 2 reads:
“The epic romantic adventure inspired by the life of America’s most infamous outlaw continues in Season Two, as Billy and his allies square off against his oldest friend Jesse Evans and the corrupt powers of the Santa Fe Ring. When shots are fired, the conflict erupts into the bloody Lincoln County War. Amidst the fighting, Billy will struggle to hang onto his soul—and to the love of his life.”
Billy the Kid season 2: Release schedule and episode total
Billy the Kid season 2 will include eight episodes in total, with the series set to return on Sunday, October 15.
The original plan was for all eight episodes to air weekly on MGM Plus and associated distribution platforms. However, the second season of Billy the Kid will have its broadcast split between two four-episode parts:
Season 2 Episode 1 ‘The Road to Hell’ – Sunday, October 15: “The Lincoln County War is on the verge of kicking off in a big way. Billy has joined Englishman John Tunstall in his commercial battle with Major Murphy and the House, but even bigger players lurk in the background and the stakes are high.”
Season 2 Episode 2 ‘Sickness’ – Sunday, October 22: “The war has started, but John Tunstall is hospitalized by a smallpox outbreak.”
Season 2 Episode 3 ‘The Agony’ – Sunday, October 29: “Billy and the Regulators hear news that John Tunstall’s ranch is going to be raided.”
Season 2 Episode 4 ‘The Day of the Dead’ – Sunday, November 5: “The Regulators have been on the defensive since the start of war, but Billy draws up a plan which could bring the war to an end.”
Billy the Kid season 2 episodes 5, 6, 7, and 8 will then premiere in 2024 – a more specific release date has not yet been confirmed.
A specific reason for the split-release has not been revealed, but all indicators point to the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes as being the cause behind the new broadcast schedule.
