Illinois State Police (ISP) Division of Criminal Investigations Zone 2 officials have announced the arrest of 23-year-old Saidrick Thomas of Savanna for drug-induced homicide and Class X Felony, and unlawful delivery of a controlled substance (a Class 2 felony,) according to a news release.
On March 2, 2022, the Thomson Police Department requested ISP to lead a death investigation
involving an alleged drug overdose of 28-year-old Amy LaShelle of Thomson.
As a result of the investigation, on Wednesday the Carroll County State’s Attorney’s Office approved the charges for Thomas, who is being held in the Iowa Department of
Corrections on unrelated charges,the release says.
