UPDATE: Police are still looking for answers after reports of someone who was shot near a Davenport school.
Officers responded to 12th and Marquette Streets by Jefferson Elementary just after 3 p.m.
Local 4 News was the first on the scene as they searched for a victim or crime scene, but they didn’t find either.
Then police followed a lead to a house near Fillmore and 17th Streets.
Our cameras were rolling as they entered the house, but no one was taken into custody.
Officers are asking anyone with information to call police.
UPDATE: Davenport police have told Local 4 News no one has been taken into custody and a shooting victim has not been located. The incident is still under investigation.
Police say the incident did not involve Jefferson Elementary School.
UPDATE: Police have cleared the area without taking anyone into custody. We’re working on getting more details.

There’s a police presence outside Jefferson Elementary in Davenport. Officers appear to be searching an alley outside the school.
