Offset has responded to J Prince after the music executive criticized Offset for not “being there” for Takeoff before his death.

The Prince family have long been close with Takeoff and the other Migos members, but this recently came to a head when Offset called out J Prince for talking about his relationship with the late rapper. Offset went on to accuse the Rap-A-Lot CEO of playing “internet games” by mentioning Takeoff in his interviews.

Here’s what went down between them.

Offset responds to J Prince diss on Instagram

While Offset attended the Grammys for date night with Cardi B on Sunday, J Prince took to Million Dollaz Worth of Game to discuss the tragic passing of Migos rapper Takeoff.

One comment that prompted a response from Offset was when J Prince, 57, claimed the rapper wasn’t “there” for the late artist, presumably referring to how he wasn’t present at the scene when Takeoff passed. Quavo and J Prince’s son, J Prince Jr, however, were at the bowling alley at the time.

“N***** be throwing rocks and hiding they hand, and I don’t like them kind of individuals,” Prince said. “In reality, the truth of the matter is, you wasn’t really right there with Takeoff when he was alive. So, for you to be taking these positions that you taking,” he continued, adding that he hears “all kinds of things,” from his “people”.

“Don’t ever put me in a position where I have to defend myself,” Prince directly warned Offset. “That wouldn’t be healthy for you.”

J Prince went on to add he still has respect for Quavo and is hoping the tension with Offset will blow over.

The Migos rapper caught wind of the interview and didn’t take it well. Criticizing the Prince family for discussing his relationship with Takeoff, he said: “Y’all n***** speaking on my real brother, how dare one of y’all even speak on me and Take relationship.

I don’t know you from a can of paint. Y’all don’t know how me and my brother rock.”

Offset also blasted J Prince for continuing to discuss Takeoff in interviews. “You ain’t think about their momma?” he said, before adding, “We ain’t said nothing. Ain’t nobody said nothing but you.”

J Prince denies son’s involvement in Takeoff’s death

Internet rumors pulled the Prince family into rumors surrounding Takeoff’s shooting after a short clip showed J Prince Jr reportedly walking away from Takeoff’s body as if unconcerned.

The family, however, claimed the media was twisting the narrative based on just three seconds of footage, when in actual fact, Prince Jr had been caring for Takeoff the entire time.

This is the second time the Princes have set the record straight. In early January, the music executive clarified that his son was walking away from the body to wash his hands of blood, reports HipHopDX.

The family was also blasted for their flower arrangement at Takeoff’s funeral, which displayed “The Prince Family”, instead of the rapper’s name.

As family, friends and members of the public gather to remember Migos’ rapper Takeoff at his memorial service in Atlanta, the Prince Family set up a memorial at the scene where he was killed. Hundreds of roses are outside 810 Billiards and Bowling. They also released doves.
