Moline City Council picked which company will do the work on its broadband expansion project.
Council members voted for Metronet on Tuesday night. That follows the recommendation made by a firm hired by the city.
It comes after the city asked for proposal revisions to consider building above or below ground. Metronet was the only company to adjust its terms of the contract with them.
