Mark was forced to move to South Florida when Lou was transferred in 1973. As a result, Mark continued his education in Florida and graduated there. He has been a dedicated athlete since elementary school and has won numerous awards and titles for his efforts.

Mark Richt has been a footballer for 14 years. He played for the University of Miami from 1978 to 1982. Howard Schnellenberger, the national champion at the time, was the team’s coach at the time. He was the reserve quarterback for Jim Kelly, who was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
