After suffering an injury on the set of “America’s Got Talent,” contestant Jonathan Goodwin is suing the production companies Fremantle and Syco Entertainment, as well as NBCUniversal and other parties.

According to the complaint that NBC News was able to receive, Goodwin (real name Jonathan Harvey) is suing for negligence and unique risk. He is seeking a jury trial and damages of more than $20,000 in addition to other demands.

The claim in the complaint is that the defendants disregarded industry safety standards and acted negligently.

Jonathan Goodwin’s nightmare began at a practice for the then-new season “America’s Got Talent: Extreme” on October 14, 2021.

He suffered terrible injuries after being crushed and burnt by two exploding cars, then suffered a terrifying fall of between 20 and 40 feet.
