One of the two individuals accused of firing into a home in Lexington in 2020 and blinding a 5-year-old boy is Michael Lemond. On the day of his status hearing last Friday, the accused did not show up.

In connection with a gunshot that left a kid in Lexington legally blind, Lemond has been charged. Two counts of first-degree assault and two counts of reckless endangerment were brought against the individual.

He is suspected of having fired the rounds that wounded Cacy Roberts, the mother of Malakai Roberts, 5, and both of them. One of the shots went through the tiny boy’s head, permanently blinding him.

Is the prisoner who is accused of shooting Michael Lemond still there?

Michael Lemond has been imprisoned since May 28 of last year on a variety of offences involving violence. In certain circumstances, his bond is reportedly set at $50,000 cash. For the new charges, no extra bond has been imposed, though.

The shooting took place on December 21, 2020, about 2 a.m., according to the authorities. The bullets were fired from outside the home on Catera Trace belonging to the young kid, Malakai Roberts. Malakai had injuries that put her life in danger.

The detective claimed that the two suspects shot into Malakai’s residence after using the wrong address. His mother, Lacy Roberts, also received a gunshot wound to the arm from the same bullet that struck him in the head, rendering him forever blind.

The detective claimed that the intended victim lived right next door. According to the arrest citations, two additional people came dangerously close to being shot. Teyo Waite was the other individual involved in the 2020 shooting.

Michael Lemond son of Ryan Lemond age and biography

Michael Lemond, the son of Ryan Lemond, was 18 years old when he is said to have shot Malakai Roberts in 2020. The authorities claim that two teens fired at the incorrect target, blinding a young child.

Michael and Teyo Waite are accused of going to what they thought was the person’s home and shooting after getting into a violent disagreement with that person. The two men shot at Malakai Roberts’ home because it was the wrong one.

On May 23, Lemond shot another person, this time his mother. In a fight, Michael allegedly beat his mother before shooting at her, according to the court’s records. After a few days, the police managed to apprehend Michael.

Michael escaped at that moment, colliding with a building and many cars on Cambridge Drive as he did so. In the May incident, Micheal was accused of fleeing the scene of the crime, five charges of wanton endangerment, two counts of first-degree assault, and carrying a hidden weapon, among other things.

Update on the Michael Lemond Shooting Case for 2022

Michael Lemond was supposed to have a hearing on Friday, but he declined to be taken from jail to court. While Teyo Waite, the other accused man, and his lawyer were present in court, Lemond did not show up.

The two men are accused of being involved in the 2020 shooting. Teyo and Michel were both 18 years old at the time. Michael’s subsequent evaluation is slated for September 9.

The Fayette County Detention Center was where Teyo was kept. Lemond allegedly punched and shot at his mother in May, according to prior criminal records. At the time of these additional charges, Lemond was already incarcerated.
