Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds says she and other Republican leaders are revisiting her education plan.

They say it follows feedback received from parents, legislators, school superintendents and teachers. The amendment has not been filed yet, but if passed, it will allow Iowa Area Education Agencies to continue to provide special education in Iowa schools.

The amended bill would would have special education funding go directly to Iowa public school districts, where the local districts would have more say in how the Area Education Agencies serve them.
