Jeff Burton, who was on The Rizzuto Show, recently moved into a hospice because he has cancer.

Rizzuto said on Monday, July 11, that the last time 55-year-old Burton was on the show was July 1, which hurt him a lot. He also said that Jeff had not been doing well for a few days and that he was waiting to hear from Jeff’s wife, Julie. Jeff might not come back, which Rizzuto also said.

Jeff went to the hospital recently because his prostate cancer had spread to every part of his body. Doctors said that Jeff needed a plan for the end of his life, so he went back home on July 8. Julie said that his family is doing everything they can to make him feel better, and she thanked everyone for their love and support.

After Jeff Burton was told he had prostate cancer, his fans sent him their best wishes on social media. He is 55 years old right now, and his last birthday was in May 2022.

Burton told his listeners in March 2021 that he has prostate cancer. He said that a normal blood test showed that his PSA levels were going up, which led to the diagnosis. He said that he had another checkup after a few months, and his PSA levels were still going up.

Rizzuto recently let everyone know how Burton’s health is doing. He also said that Burton had to go to the bathroom during his recent appearances, so he had to go in and out of the show. Rizzuto said:

“He came and went. Several times while he was on the air with us, he texted me things like, “Hey, turn me down, I have to go to the bathroom.”

Julie, Jeff’s wife, wrote on social media that doctors at Missouri Baptist were working hard to stabilize him and that he had received two blood transfusions and a platelet transfusion at the time. Even though his health eventually got better, his blood levels were not normal, and it was clear that the cancer was still having an effect on his body.

Rizzuto said that he hopes Jeff will get a miracle. Patrico said that Jeff has been in radio for a long time and that he listened to Jeff when he was growing up.
