Early on Monday evening, authorities in Custer County, Colorado, were conducting a search for a suspect in connection with a shooting that resulted in the deaths of three individuals and left one in serious condition, according to officials.
According to a statement issued by the Public Information Office of the Custer County Government, a disagreement regarding the ownership of property on Rocky Ridge Road may have been the cause of a gunshot that occurred at a “property line in the wooded area…”
According to the administration of Custer County, Hanme K. Clark is the person of interest.
The suspect is reportedly operating a white Ram 1500 pickup truck with the license plate number BHLK27, which is issued by the state of Colorado.
Officials stated that law enforcement officers responded to a report of shots fired at approximately one o’clock on Monday afternoon. About twenty minutes later, a local SWAT unit arrived on the scene.
According to the authorities, there were three people who had been victims of fatal shootings: two males and a woman. An additional woman who had been shot was in critical condition, but it was anticipated that she would live, according to officials from the county.
“While they were searching for the suspect, Rich Smith, the sheriff of Custer County, called for a shelter to be set up,” the officials stated.
It was at eight o’clock when the sheriff’s office announced that the shelter-in-place order had been revoked.
