Emily A. Holland’s family mourns the death of their daughter, sister, granddaughter, and niece from Post-Partum Depression. Emily, 21, died at home with her mother on December 6, 2023.
Emily, born Friday, January 11, 2002 in Pottsville, is survived by her mother Christine M. Zaprazny and stepfather Joseph Dabashinsky; father Robert Holland and stepmother Sezen; son Marti Harlow Wicker and his father Austin Wicker. Her brother Austin H. Hillbish, who died in June 2017, her brothers Tucker C. Sterner, Atilla Holland, and Joseph C. Dabashinsky; sisters Allison M. Hillbish, Maria E. Sterner, Liya Holland, and step-sisters Jessica Dabashinsky, wife of Scott Cramer, and Tara Dabashinsky; maternal grandfather Daniel G. Zaprazny Sr. and his companion Peggy Latshaw; paternal grandmother Anna Holland; Aunt Melissa and Uncle Anthony Lynam, Aunt Stacey and Uncle Pa Her maternal Meme, Marie E. Zaprazny, loved her and named her her little princess.
Emily, a 2020 Blue Mountain High School alumnus, was Art President, played varsity basketball, and performed in plays. Emily was family and friends’ “Hippie” girl, an ancient soul. She was creative, painting, writing poems, journaling, singing, and songwriting. All who loved her saw her as a bright spot.
A loving mother who focused on her son Marti, Emily suffered from Post-Partum Depression. Emily fought her sickness with the help of her loved ones because she loved her son.

The New Ringgold Fire Hall will host a Celebration of Life on Sunday, December 17, from 12:00 to 5:00. You can bring a covered dish. All are welcome, even kids.
