Christopher Battaglia stood as an inspiring figure within Floral Park’s community since August 17th 2006. Born to Jaclyn and Christopher, Christopher provided caring brothership to Ryan while lovingly grandparented his grandson Christopher as part of a supportive and nurturing household that Christopher thrived within.
Christopher was well respected at Kellenberg Memorial High School due to his dedication and hard work both academically and athletically. Christopher served as an example to his peers while also providing teachers and coaches pride. Christopher’s dedication in both fields displayed both character development and determination on a consistent basis.
Christopher was active in sports not just to compete; rather it helped foster team spirit, show leadership and learn hard work and perseverance values that would manifest themselves throughout his life – qualities evident both on the playing field as well as everywhere he was encountered in daily life. Christopher was beloved and respected by everyone he encountered due to his compassionate, kind-hearted, warm nature which were evident everywhere he was seen and known by.

Visitation will take place Thursday January 18th 2024 from 4-7PM at their Floral Park facility allowing friends, family, and community members to share in both grief and rememberance in one location.
Funeral Mass: Christopher will be honored and remembered at Our Lady of Victory Roman Catholic Church for an honorable funeral mass on January 19, 2024, which will provide another chance for his loved ones and community members alike to pay respect and commemorate his life. Holy Rood Cemetery in Westbury will provide the final momentous act in Christopher’s farewell ceremonies with solemn and dignified ceremony for burial after mass has concluded.
Instead of flowers, Christopher’s family has requested donations be made in Christopher’s honor to Kellenberg Memorial High School, an institution which played such an essential role in his life and legacy. Doing this allows his memory and legacy to live on by supporting future students as Christopher has done throughout his brief yet powerful existence.
