Andy Reid Is Living A Blissful Married Life With Tammy Reid

Andy Reid’s working life has been covered extensively. He is currently the head coach of the Kansas City Chiefs and one of the NFL’s greatest coaches. Football was one of the few constants in his life. The other constant in his life is his wife, Tammy Reid, who without him he would not be where he is today. But, apart from her support, nothing is known about their private lives.

Andy and his wife first met when they were children. They first met in the early 1980s while studying at Brigham Young University. They start dating and she quickly becomes a major influence in his life. He grew up as a “not very observant” Lutheran. On the other hand, Tammy grew up in a Mormon house.

Soon after they met, he converted to Mormonism and joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They got married after graduating from college when he played football for the university team. Their wedding took place on August 8, 1981. Andy’s name is Andrew and only Tammy is allowed to call him that. Garrett, Spencer, Britt, Crosby and Drew Ann are NFL coaches and have five children with his wife. Tammy took care of their home and family while Andy began his coaching career.

Brit and Garrett are their children best known in the media due to their previous drug problems. Brit and Garrett both struggled with drug addiction and served time in prison. While Britt managed to get out of the dangerous situation, Garrett did not. On August 5, 2012, he died of a heroin overdose in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. He was only 29 years old then. Britt started playing again after recovering from his health in 2009. He began his career as the Eagles camp coordinator. He then spent three seasons at Temple University training in offense before joining his father’s team, the Kansas City Chiefs. After his contract ended in 2020, he was let go.

Andy Reid’s wife is his supporter

Tammy was always with Andy when he was passionate about football. On some days, he went to work from 4 am and didn’t come back until 11 pm, leaving her to take care of all the work. Andy always appreciates her presence and help. He even said that it would not have been possible to win the 2020 Super Bowl without her.

He mentioned his “four legs” in a post-match interview after the Super Bowl 2020. They were the most important factors in helping him achieve his goals. Football, church and his family are the first three. However, his marriage to her company was definitely the most necessary. Andy confessed the next day, in a good mood, that he hadn’t even spent much time on the trophy. Instead, he said, “I didn’t stay up all night with the trophy. It’s for my trophy wife.”
