More than 200 senior citizens celebrated the holidays with Project NOW at the Jingle Bell Jubilee Thursday at Bally’s Casino, Rock Island.
“Social isolation is a huge concern, especially with people over 60,” said Michelle Dyer, senior services director. “They say one in four seniors are socially isolated.”
The event, organizers said, is a way for people to know they’re not alone during the holidays.
